PORAN
The Peace Officers Research
Association of Nevada was founded in 1987 to meet the
representational needs of Nevada Law Enforcement. We employ a
professional lobbyist and have successfully motivated our
members to participate in the legislative process. In addition,
we have actively supported candidates that support our goals. We
are believers in "self help" and to that end have
sponsored training in Collective Bargaining, Internal Affairs,
Leadership/Ethics and Political Actions. Finally, PORAN offers

OCPA
The Oregon Council of Police
Associations is the political and legislative arm of 46
Oregon-based police associations, comprised of more that 5,000
members! The OCPA represents line enforcement officers,
corrections officers, parole & probation officers and
support personnel. The primary focus of this real-time
representation is in the political and legislative arenas of
Oregon. Public employee rights, working conditions, benefits and
proactive criminal law legislation have all become major issues
in the legislative and voter election process: rights we have
specifically chosen to fight for! We pride ourselves on our
ability to keep the door open to bi-partisan support. We believe
maintaining a working relationship and open communications
between our membership and the legislative assembly is of the
utmost importance. The OCPA employs a full-time lobbyist in
Salem and operates Executive offices in Roseburg, Oregon.
